Because we believe that authors should be partners in creation, and believe that their lived experience is inseparable from the sacred works they put into the world.
So, at Barrow & Bone, we stand in quiet but deliberate defiance of exploitative profit-driven practices that have long dominated the publishing industry. Practices that silence, diminish, or take advantage of the creators whose insights shape our spiritual landscape. Today, and every day, we are committed to an author-centered model built on transparency, equitable collaboration, and respect for creative sovereignty.
